Looking for new games for your Android phone? Then look no further, this is the list of the 10 must have games for your Android device as of February 2012. I made this list with paid games only because I think it’s such small amounts we are talking about when it comes to price, so really it’s a question of buy, try and trash it if you don’t like it. Only very few of the games are more than a dollar or two. You can also get free versions of most of them, so you can try out a limited version before you commit to buying the full version.
If you have ideas for other great games, please do share them with us in the comment box below.
1. Where's My Water?
Where’s My Water? is a physics-based puzzle game from Disney. The objective is to get water to Swampy the alligator so he can take a shower, it sounds very simple and it is, but Disney has managed to make it highly addictive and you will not put your Android device down until you’ve beaten all the 140+ levels you get for only $1.

Cut the Rope is one of the highest rated games on the Android Market with 4.7 stars out of 5 possible. The objective is to get a piece of candy into the mouth of the little monster (Om Nom), the candy is hanging in one (or more ropes) and your task is to swing it around and cut the rope(s) at the right time and place to collect the 3 stars in each level and end up in the mouth of Om Nom.

This has got to be one of the simplest concepts for a game ever seen: Throw fruits across the screen and swipe your finger to slice them with your “ninja sword”. It sounds stupid and to be honest it is, but nevertheless it’s a very approachable game as you can play it for 30 seconds or 30 minutes and still get fun out of it.

The classic NFL game is now also available for Android devices. For obvious reasons it’s not possible to experience the same game-play as you can on a large screen computer or television, but EA Sports have done a great job in developing the new game-play style used for the Android app, it works well but there are room for improvements.

Rockstar Games are world famous for their Grand Theft Auto game series that has been running for more than a decade now. From the beginning the games have been criticized for being to violent and not suitable for the young generation, but Rockstar Games doesn’t care and they keep their games in the same violent manner today. Thank you for that I will say, that’s why we love the GTA series!

Asphalt 6: Adrenaline is easily the best car game available for Android at the moment. Realistic graphics makes this game a very nice experience, especially on a HD tablet device (we tested it on Asus Eee Pad Transformer). One of the best features of this game is that you can play in multiplayer mode, not only online but even locally with your friends on all your Android devices. Very nice feature!

Apparatus has to be one of the hardest games I’ve ever played on my Android. The first levels (as always) are doable, but it quickly gets harder and harder until in the end you have to really fight the urge of looking up level guides online to help you get past each level. The objective is to transport a blue ball to a blue “box”, sounds simple but trust me it isn’t! As the levels go by you end up having to build large machines to transport the ball to its destination.
Get it at Android Market8. Flick Golf
Flick golf is a very simple golf game, a bit to simply in my opinion, but nevertheless it made this list as there aren’t really any competitors worth mentioning. The sole objective of this game is to chip the golf ball onto the green as close to the pin as possible, you get 3 shots from each position and it’s only the chip-shot that you get to perform, no putting and no tee-shots are available in this game.
Get it at Android Market9. Minecraft - Pocket Edition
The infamous Minecraft game is now also available for Android. Build your own world using 36 different building block types, invite your friends over to see the world you’ve built (via local wireless network). This game usually splits the waters with people either loving it or hating it, which can also be seen on the ratings on the Android Market.
Get it at Android Market10. Jelly Defense
Jelly Defense is a great game for killing time. Playing a level takes about 10 minutes so you know what you are in for. The objective is to survive 20 waves of jelly monsters, building different towers all with different abilities to kill of the jelly monsters before they get to your diamonds and run away with them. This game differs from most others in that it has it’s own style and design, very beautiful I should remember to add, white/grey colored worlds with red and blue jelly monsters. A great take on a game concept tried by many others in the past.
