Whitney Houston died earlier this week, and it didn’t take more than a few days before the notorious Facebook scammers started taking advantage of the tragic news in order to lure people into clicking on their Facebook links.
The wording of this Facebook scam is as follows:
[video] – Whitney Houstons autopsy reveals a shocking secret that explains her death. – www.tmzdailynews10825.com – Breaking News: Coroners autopsy reports reveals a dark past and secret life which tragically led to Whitney Houstons death.
If you click the link you will be taken to this page:

As you can see you are no longer on either Facebook or YouTube so this should make your alarm bells ring and close the page without pressing more buttons.
The scammers hope that you will fall for their trick and click the Install button, this will install a rogue malware plugin to your browser that could potentially be extremely damaging to your PC and especially to your privacy, it could be a key-logger which would send all passwords you enter to the scammers to do with what they please.
If you are reading this and it’s already too late (you already installed the plugin), then the first thing you should do is to go to your own Facebook wall/timeline and remove the post which the scammers have posted there, do this to avoid your friends falling for the same trick as you did.
Then you need to remove the browser plugin, and you should really also download and scan with a program like malwarebytes.
